We bought our 09
Fit after several months of comparison shopping. It's been great. We like the
ease of entry to both the front and rear seats, the utility of the folding
seats, the drivers armrest (wish the passenger had one), the I-Pod hookup, and
it's small size & maneuverability. Loaded with features, it's the best
small car we've ever owned. Mileage is great at over 40 mpg on the highway and
it's averaging 35 mpg with our mix of highway and city driving. With 4,000 miles on it in just 4
months, we love it. I'm 6'6", and
I fit in the Fit! Lots of headroom and sufficient legroom. Thanks Honda, for
not putting some sort of "knee buster" around the area between the
front seats or under the dashboard. Plus, I was tired of paying [$]+ per fill-up
and getting only 14 mpg around town on premium gas. Now I'm getting great mpg
around town on regular, and it costs much less to fill up. Absolutely nothing has been wrong with this
car.
A note From Anita...Just took home her FIT
Sport
It is really great.! !
I know that I "could have or should have" found a less
expensive
vehicle. Or at least looked around for some other
dealership
with a lower trim level of FIT.
So just to let you know that on the way home to
Olomana,
at Castle Junction, I drove straight ahead and went
onto
the old road going down to Maunawili. The road is
narrow,
and nothing but sharp curves all the way. Now THAT is
a
test drive. I love the way the FIT handles, the
visibility is
excellent.....comfortable seats...a sheer joy to
drive! !
The 9 year old neighbor girl and her grandmother came
over
to welcome "Hondalulu" to her new home
and owner. They
brought two muffins and an orange balloon. Then we had
a
contest to see if either of them could guess the name
of the
FIT color...(Tidewater Blue)...just like a birthday
party on
Columbus Day.
.
Grandmother gave up and went home,
but
the kid lost pay-off points (in jellybeans) because I
gave
her an internet research clue to the answer. Told
her
to go home and "Google" Honda Fit Color - then look
at the 2009 color
chart. She was back in minutes - with
the correct color
name. We went inside the vehicle to explore
glove compartments & items to put in each. Also
where
to turn off the radio - she got that from owner's
manual,-
and worked the window controls, seat configurations,
door locks, etc.
She wants one.... is there a FIT
in her future (only 9 more
years and she'll be 18.) Now you have two new Believers.
I am reminded of two very old songs - lyrics to one,
"Your
lips tell me no, no, but there's yes, yes in your
eyes" (when
I first saw that color! - you
knew I would do it ! )
The other song is a lively German polka called "The
Happy
Wanderer" , so we are off to many happy road trips
along
with our regular every-day
routes.
Thanks for your patience and good service Bob Laudick
and Honda Windward!
Sincerely,
Anita and Hondalulu, the Happy
Wanderers
Bob
Laudick + Windward Honda = FABULOUS!
Aloha people,
This is a letter I just sent to Bob as his customer service
is great!
"Aloha Bob!
I just wanted to say a huge "MAHALO!" for your
wonderful customer service in helping me find the perfect car for me and my
business. As a photographer, I travel all over the island and needed a reliable
car that gets great gas mileage and can hold my large gallery prints. The Honda
Fit is perfect for me and the buying experience was great! As a woman shopping
for a car, I was used to feeling intimidated or disrespected in a car
dealership. That was not the case working with you and the Online Sales
Department. You were honest, respectful and made the transaction something I
felt good about and drove away very happy in my new car!
Thank you again
for all your help and if anyone is looking to buy a new car, I will be sending
them directly to you!

the only person I'll work with. If anyone is in the market for a new car, go
directly to Bob!

This Sums It Up...Honda Fit - What the Auto Press Says
The 2010 Honda Fit ranks 1 out of 29 Affordable Small Cars.
This ranking is based on our analysis of 30 published reviews and test drives of
the Honda Fit, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2010 Honda Fit is a winner is almost every respect. Beloved by the
automotive press for its innovative storage options, its extensive list of
available features and its zippy ride, the Fit is a good choice for anyone
shopping for an affordable small car. The 2009 model was even named one of US
News & World Report's Best Cars for the Money in the subcompact class.
The 2010 Fit hasn't been on the market long enough to win any awards, but the
nearly identical 2009 model has received many accolades for its versatility and
excellent design. It was one of Car and Driver's "10Best" for both 2008 and 2009.
In addition, it's a Consumer Guide Best Buy and was selected as one
of Automobile Magazine's All-Stars for 2009. Reviewers,
themselves, are also exuberant in their descriptions of the Fit. Car and Driver is especially animated, saying,
"We love the Honda Fit. Roomy inside and more fun to drive than a team of
coked-up sled dogs."
Among the Fit's most talked about features is its renowned "Magic Seat,"
which transforms to allow for three separate storage modes -- tall, long and
utility -- and is surprisingly comfortable for a rear seat. The Fit is also
commended for its long list of standard and available features -- from its 10
cupholders and speed-sensitive volume control to its Satellite-linked navigation
system with voice recognition. Reviewers are thrilled that you can find all of
this in an ultra fuel-efficient car (28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the
highway) that's even fun to drive.
- "The 2010 Honda Fit, a perennial favorite of the
automotive press and customers alike, offers value and versatility in a
fun-to-drive and fuel-efficient five-door package." -- Automotive.com
- "Fit's strongest selling points are its impressive
passenger accommodations and large, versatile cargo space. Sport models add a
touch of fun-to-drive appeal. While prices seem steep for a subcompact, this is
one in name and exterior size only; it's really a small wagon that challenges
some compact SUVs for room while getting significantly better fuel economy." --
Consumer Guide
- "For the small hatchback shopper, or even car
enthusiast daydreamers who need something to get to work, Honda's Fit is the
best pick out there." -- Edmunds
- "The Fit is pretty near the top of my favorite-cars
list, and not because it's so fast and awesome-looking -- because it oh-so
ain't. It has the beauty of a certain well-wrought urn, exactly what it needs to
be -- self-defined, lightly perfect." -- Los Angeles Times
- "Although this entry-level hatchback is priced
slightly higher than most of its competition, the Fit nevertheless offers an
ample supply of features, versatility and, above all, that unbeatable Honda
resale value." -- Kelley Blue Book
