"Honda Windward Service Department-Believe Me"

James Nakanishi service manager gave me a whole new way of thinking about a service/mechanic shop. In all of my 65 years I have never though going to a car dealership service as a fun date. All past experience has taught me to dread going to mechanics and feeling my way through the grease pit to find a solution. I must say I was initially suspect to the warmth and clarity I was getting. I had an appointment to have accessories put on my new Fit. I was late more than two hrs. After all what mechanic shop kept account of customer in/out time. Well James runs a shop like a railroad conductors watch. He had a man waiting to start on my car. I then felt guilty about my mismanagement of time. James had been paying a man for my time. My head is still numb from what happened next. James reassured me that it was OK and not to worry that they would try to get most of the accessories installed today. He nor I estimated that a reverse sensor system, a big job would be done that day. James kept a man overtime to complete the job. That's right the whole job was done that day. The kicker, James thanked me for being a Honda Windward customer. As I drove away trying to digest what happened as reality and not a trip down the "yellow brick road" satisfaction set in. Believe. "Second Purchase From Bob Laudick"

This is our second time going to Honda Windward for a vehicle. We went through the same sales person who helped us last year when we purchased our very first new vehicle.

We had such great service that time, we decided to go through them again. This time we ended up leasing our vehicle. We originally were going to get a used vehicle, but Bob suggested leasing. At first we were hesitant because we never leased, but Bob explained to us and answered all our questions. So, we decided to lease, and it was a great decision in our opinion.

Bob Laudick is such a great person. He takes the time to answer your questions and he is very thorough when it comes to explaining the vehicle. The process from finding a car to driving off the lot took almost 3 hours, but it didn't even seem that long because Bob entertains you by telling you jokes and just talking to you about general things, all awhile, making sure you understand everything about the car and the process.

So if you are ever in need of a car, go to Honda Windward and request to see Bob Laudick. He will try to help you as much as possible with getting you the best deal and making sure you leave there satisfied and happy. Even after you drive your car off the lot, he will keep in contact with you, making sure that you know he is there for you if you ever need him to answer questions about the vehicle.

"Our 4th Honda"

We just purchased our 4th  Honda so are pretty brand loyal but over the years have gone to both Honda Windward and Pflueger on a sales and service level. By far, the better sales experience has been with Honda Windward.

In particular, Bob Laudick was head and shoulders above any other sales representative we've ever worked with in Hawaii. I was ready to purchase a new car over Mother's Day weekend at Pflueger and was so turned off by the sales person we just walked out. During the test drive on a CRV he didn't offer any information on the car, didn't engage me as a loyal Honda owner, and seemed indifferent or bored.  Then he didn't even know about the financing special featured in the newspaper ads their company was running. This was not someone I would want to do business with, in fact I can't even recall his name and he didn't bother to give us a business card. I decided to just wait and look elsewhere.

By comparison, Bob Laudick was very engaging and thoroughly explained every option and feature of the car before we took it out on the road. He knew the product well, and focused on what needs we had not only with the car model but follow up service. After the deal was made, he once again walked me through all the car features before letting me drive off the lot and provided the business cards of the Service team managers just in case I had any problems or questions.

I was so pleased with his professionalism, I even recommended him to one of my clients who has since been in and purchased a previously owned Accord. He also had a very positive experience. Bob has also impressed me with his follow up emails and recommendations on things we discussed when meeting.

On a service level since I work downtown had taken my last Honda CRV to Pflueger and while the service staff are extremely nice there have been problems. A major tune-up was needed along with new tires. I went over the costs and confirmed the tire make and necessary balancing, alignment work, etc., with my rep. Because they couldn't finish it all, I ended up leaving the car overnight. The next day in the afternoon I hadn't heard from anyone so called and they said the car was finished. The bill didn't seem as high as what was originally quoted, only to discover when I got home that they hadn't done the tire change at all. It sat there all day and no one touched it.  It was Friday, so I ended up going to Firestone that weekend for the new tires, etc. That experience left me with real reservations about the work they do, and their attention to detail.

This is the first testimonial I've ever written, especially about a "car salesman" or dealership but I would highly recommend Bob Laudick and Honda Windward.

"Bob is the MAN!!"

Bob Laudick was a real joy to work with. My b/f and I went to the Honda dealer in town and didn't have a very warm experience. After reading a bunch of yelp reviews we called him directly and he came in special just to deal with us on our time! I hate the whole salesman routine but with him it was very comfortable, fun, and easy. A couple hours later I ended up rolling away with my current (realistic) dream car!

My one complaint is that there is a squeak when turning the steering wheel. I hate that a new 2011 CR-V would have something up with it right off the bat. Although I hear it's pretty minor...but still!

On the bright side we called Bob and he got right on it! Bob is the MAN!!

"I Was Very Surprised..."

I was very surprised to find the dealer to be very amiable. Bob never pressured me into buying a car beyond my needs but pointed out a variety of choices with affordable prices. Bob was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles he offered and was able to answer all of my questions. "We Had Our BEST Experience With Honda Windward"

We recently purchased 2 new Honda cars from them. We have always been a loyal Honda customer and we got  cars before from both Honda Pflueger and Tony and by far , we had our BEST experience with Honda Windward. Mr. Bob Laudick helped us out and not only is he very professional but he's very flexible with our needs, before we came, we had a number in mind to trade in for our cars and not only did he gave us a good value for the trade off, he also gave us a low rate towards our financing. We actually went to Honda Pflueger the day before but we were so turned off with the sales representative , not only does he doesn't have any knowledge about the car (Hybrid Insight) , when we asked him about the trade invalue and financing, he wasn't sure of anything. We are never going back there again.

"Tom Makes Car Buying Fun"

Currently serving in the US military, I had just come back from my second deployment and heard from my wife about how bad has prices had gone up all over the country. As much as I love my American muscle cars they were not practical right now so I had to suck it up and get a hybrid, I had done some research and decided that the CRZ was a cool(er) hybrid and the price seemed to be right. Once I got back me and a friend when to Pflueger Honda in Honolulu, this establishment should be avoided at all costs. Parking as awful and all the attendants couldn't tell two potential customers where to find a spot, after getting inside we were giving a sales rep who didn't smile much less show any enthusiasm to sell a car. When said we wanted to see what hybrids they had in stock he stated that they were all out (he said this as my friend and me were standing behind one) No effort was made to show the vehicle off, he knew nothing about the car, he didn't know how many he had in stock, he took us up to the second floor to show us the other car and when we got there he realized that the car was actually downstairs, he never asked if we wanted to test drive it but the kicker was when we asked to drive it, it took him twenty minutes to find the keys well my friend and I were left standing in the rain. Wonderful experience! The flipside to this story is Tom from Windward Honda in Kaneohe. After the Pflueger fiasco (Plfueger is closer to me, that's why I tried them first) I was more than willing to go to the other side of the island if it meant I didn't have to deal with them again! I have Windward a call and was put through to Tom, he was more than happy to deal with me, after I told him what I wanted and what I was looking for he said he would call back in ten minutes, which he did, he was able to tell me what they had in stock with what available options. So right off the bat, real customer service! The next day we and the wife went down there to see Tom, the attendants noticed we were having trouble finding parking and actually stepped into help. When we asked for Tom we were greeted by him in a few seconds. Right away he showed us exactly what we wanted to see, we took a friend along with us who also was looking to buy a more fuel efficient car and he tended to both of us equally without ever ignoring the other. Any car we wanted to test drive? Not a problem, any questions we had he was able to answer them and if he didn't know he was more than happy to look it up for us. Dealing with me I'm sure he didn't have to many issues, my wife on the other hand was another story, but he showed the utmost patience with her and the whole day was service with a smile as well as the occasional joke. At no point did we feel alienated or pressured; everything was a smooth and comfortable ride. Even my wife, who isn't impressed easily, was very happy with Tom and the service he provided. As someone who has had bad experiences with dealers in the past, Tom at Windward Honda is someone I would not only deal with again but would recommend to all my friends. If you go down and see him he wont disappoint.

"Fair Values at Honda Windward"

My husband and I went to Bob Laudick to purchase a used car. We previously went to numerous other dealerships around the island and I was unimpressed with many of the salespeople. When I would ask questions about the cars they would give me vague answers. There was one dealership (cough Pflueger cough) that offered us $2k for our 2001 X5 for trade in. It was a total scam. When we went to see Bob, he was very friendly, knew a lot about the cars, gave us a fair value for our trade in, and a great deal on a 2008 crv. He was very straightforward and just wonderful to work with. We will definitely return to him for future purchases. The dealership also is very nice and great service.

LOVE my car! Bob Laudick did a great job with follow-up to my online inquiry -- continued to follow up even when he didnt hear from me for a while because I had the flu. He was very thorough in answering my questions and giving me things to think about as I was also originally considering another car and dealer. It was HIS taking the time to converse with me and help me think of options that made the difference on a) buying a Honda as compared to another make, and b) purchasing it from Honda Windward, as compared to another dealer.

Our first experience with Honda Windward was simply the best. We found one of their used cars listed on Craigslist, so we went to hondawindward.com to get more info. Their option of appraising our trade in was easy to use & we were also able to tell them which car we were interested in. We got a call back from their internet manager to set up an appointment to look at the car.

When we arrived @ the dealership we were kinda nervous since it was our 1st experience there. We've purchased from a lot of other dealerships before....the one's who sit outside like vulture's & follow you around & the one's that ignore you & let you come to them. "Honda Windward's Service Dept is the Best!"

Windward Honda's Service Department is the BEST!! We have been going to Honda Windward for all our service needs for the past two years. They are an honest and genuine service department that is always looking out for the customer. We recently needed to replace a power inverter in our Odyssey and were expecting a separate extended warranty company to cover the cost of our repair. Well as it turned out, that warranty company said they had no record of us as one of their customers, eventhough we paid $1860 for a 6 year/60,000 miles warranty with them when we purchased our Odyssey from a small island dealership (Not Honda Windward) two years prior. After two months of trying to clear up the problem with that extended warranty company, Honda Windward took it upon themselves to replace the Inverter in our Odyssey and covered 85% of the cost in doing so. We were stunned at their generosity! Thank you Honda Windward for your kindness! Our family greatly appreciates you!

"First Car Purchase In Hawaii"

First car purchase in Hawaii so I was concerned about prices and, after initial checking of dealer reviews, I was worried about most I checked out. While online, I was at a site that let me request a quote. I soon was contacted by Honda Windward's internet department. My research on dealers already showed them to be the best rated for brands I was looking at so I made an appointment with Bob Laudick. NO PRESSURE, but all the information you could want. I had a number of other cars and dealers I wanted to check out so I got a price on a couple of cars I was interested in (Fit basic and Fit Sport). I liked that, even after I told them I would be checking other places, they didn't try to pressure me into buying before I completed my own research. Then came the fun of checking other cars and dealers. None seemed to have the high level of reviews as Honda Windward. Some were friendly in discussions and didn't pressure either. Some of those I ruled out because I just liked the Fit better. Some had a problem with lots of negative reviews either for their sales or service, or both. One was foolish enough to not give me a price unless I was ready to deal (I told them it would be a few days to a week or so). Don't give me a price and I have no further time for you! My money, my rules! But every step of the way, Bob Laudick at Honda Windward was straight forward and helpful. When it came time (today) to actually decide to buy, I had a problem with the bus schedule (I didn't have a car) and my work schedule, so Bob came over to Aiea and picked me up. There was no guarantee of a buy at that point - just a probability (I was still waiting to see if there was some negative surprise, but there wasn't one). The price was low enough on the Fit Sport that I bought that and was even able to add another accessory that I didn't think I could afford. Well worth the trip over there and, with the convenience of H-3, it really isn't far at all - and no traffic lights for most of the trip!

I'd been going to Honda Windward for service on my 13-year-old Accord for a couple of years and was always very pleased with the Service Department. So when it came time to buy a new Honda I had high expectations for the Sales Department.

Dear Honda Windward Management and To Whom It May Concern:

The purpose of my letter is pass on a much deserved compliment to your service department and one very special person at your dealership in particular, Mr. Bob Laudick.

 Bob Laudick assisted me in my purchase of an Acura a few months ago. He knew I was not in the market for a Honda and did not try to pressure me into one. He instead set me up with a contact of his at the Acura dealership in town. The result was the most hassle free car purchase experience I have ever had. That is coming from someone who purchases a new vehicle every three years.

 Mr. Laudick's service did not stop there. A few months after my purchase Bob followed up to remind me that I could service my Acura at the Honda Windward dealership knowing that I live on the Windward side and the Acura dealership in town would be inconvenient. He said they could even service my car in 30 minutes start to finish. I was skeptical but made an appointment. I arrived to service my car the day after Thanksgiving at 8AM. I was told that it would take about 30 minutes. It actually only took about 20. I didn?t even make to across the street to Starbucks. It was by far the least stressful and most inexpensive car service experience I have ever had. Thank you so much to Honda Windward and Bob Laudick.

 I will refer anyone I can in the future to Bob Laudick. His care for his customers is truly evident.

Working downtown, we previously dealt with consistently incompetent service managers and mechanics at Pflueger Honda. Finally, we decided to take the drive to try out Windward Honda for a transmission repair and were amazed at their knowledge and professionalism. Dalton and the team took the time to test drive our vehicle a number of times and mount sensors to accurately analyze a transmission issue that we had Pfleuger Honda try to examine three times with no success. They even worked closely with the Honda Extended Warranty agents to ensure the entire transmission replacement was covered under warranty! During my repair, they arranged for my loaner vehicle and even had it delivered to the dealership for my convenience. At the end of it, they also sent us out with a complimentary full service car wash from their auto spa partner, who also did a fantastic job.

I met with Bob Laudick at Honda Windward's internet department. My research on dealers already showed them to be the best rated for brands I was looking at.

NO PRESSURE, but all the information you could want. I spent the next 10 days checking other cars and dealers before deciding I like the Honda Fit the best and had the best experience with the dealer and, of course, a price I was happy with.

"No Pressure from Honda Windward"

In researching the new Pilot, we decided to go ahead and purchase. I contacted the 3 Honda dealers on the island; got NO response from one, got a less than favorable response from another and got great responses from the third that were followed up with phone calls. Guess which one I went with...yep, choice number 3, Honda Windward. I had the privilege of working with Bob Laudick. He's very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and even more so in person.

Bob was genuinely into helping us get the best bang for our buck, so to speak. He laid out the options available and the benefits of choosing one model over another. He didn't try to persuade us to choose the higher priced model, although that's what we ended up going with just because we loved it more than the other. He presented the options and the numbers and left us to discuss them.  While out for our test drive, he pointed out the many features this model had over our previous one (we previously owned an '05 Honda Pilot) as well as the similarities.

The finance manager, Louie Hecht, was great as well! He talked to us about the various warranties and such that were available and did not pressure us to go with any of them. He merely offered suggestions and answered the few questions we had regarding them. Louie got us a better interest rate than our credit union was offering us, saving us literally thousands of dollars in interest over the life of our loan.

We could not be more pleased with the service we received from Honda Windward! A good friend recommended them to me and I'm passing that recommendation on to all of you! Do not hesitate to do business with Bob Laudick at Honda Windward! He and the rest of the staff there will treat you right.
